Mutations

Mitosis Mutations List: Current 28-Name Dex

Browse the currently documented 28 Mitosis mutation and trait names, identify VALUE and TRAITS, and handle special states such as Rotten.

How to use this mutation Dex

The official Mitosis description confirms that there are 28 mutations. The names below are the currently documented 28-name set visible in community-captured collection and tooltip screens checked on October 20, 2026. Their names are useful for identification; exact rarity, odds, value, acquisition, and behavior remain version-sensitive unless the live interface shows them.

Search this page with your browser’s Find command, then match the name shown in MUTATIONS or on the ball tooltip. Read whether it appears under VALUE, TRAITS, or a special interaction. Accessories such as wings or halos can be equipped separately, so do not use them as the defining mutation feature.

VALUE

Value-oriented entries contribute to earnings information. Use the selected ball’s whole PAYS readout when several values appear together.

TRAITS

Traits change behavior or add a conditional effect. A trait can matter even when it does not display a direct value multiplier.

Special states

Some entries describe evolution, event-linked forms, timing, or risk. Read their current tooltip before splitting or selling.

Value-focused mutations

Yin-Yang

Type: VALUE. Identify it by the exact collection label, then read the current multiplier from your live entry.

Community reported

Galaxy

Type: VALUE. Purple galaxy styling appears in current captures; equipped wings or a halo are not part of the mutation identity.

Community reported

Frozen

Type: VALUE. A pale icy appearance is documented. Keep it separate from the Frozen Moon combination and Snowfall event.

Community reported

Toxic

Type: VALUE. A green appearance is documented. Toxic also appears in several community-recorded combinations.

Community reported

Gold

Type: VALUE. Do not confuse a Gold ball with the Gold Rush card, event, or reward trigger.

Community reported

Stone

Type: VALUE. Stone is documented as a component in Stony Slime. Read the live tooltip for its current payout.

Community reported

Celestial

Type: VALUE. It appears in the documented Toxic Star combination; exact odds and value require the current collection entry.

Community reported

Heavenly

Type: VALUE. Current captures show a light, golden appearance. Do not identify it solely from an accessory glow.

Community reported

Inferno

Type: VALUE. An orange molten appearance is documented; keep it separate from Molten and Lava Rain labels.

Community reported

Candy

Type: VALUE. Candy Rain can favor Candy discoveries in current captures, but the event and mutation remain separate identities.

Community reported

Blood Moon

Type: VALUE. This ball property is distinct from the environmental Blood Moon event named by the official description.

Community reported

Trait-focused entries

Jackpot

Type: TRAIT. Current captures show a conditional sale effect. Read its live trigger and payout rather than assuming every sale succeeds.

Community reported

Vampire

Type: TRAIT. Community captures report a Rotten-removal interaction and show Vampire Toxic as a simple mixed ball.

Community reported

Echo

Type: TRAIT. Identify it from the exact Echo label and marker in the tooltip, not only from surrounding particles.

Community reported

White Cell

Type: TRAIT. Community captures report that it can cure one adjacent Rotten ball on a split.

Confirm current adjacency rule

Coin Ball

Type: TRAIT. A coin marker is documented, and the trait appears in a captured five-property combination.

Community reported

Midas Touch

Type: TRAIT. The current directory places it with behavior-oriented entries; use its live text for the actual effect.

Effect not frozen here

Bomb

Type: TRAIT. The name is documented, but trigger, payout, and board interaction should be read in the live tooltip.

Current effect required

Twin

Type: TRAIT. Preserve the exact name when recording a ball; do not infer that every split duplicates identically.

Current effect required

Ghost

Type: TRAIT. Current walkthroughs mention Ghost cells surviving some sales, but the live text should decide the boundary.

Community reported

Special, evolution, and risk entries

Molten

Group: special/evolution. Lava Rain is community reported to favor Molten, but the live event text controls the current opportunity.

Community reported

Storm

Group: special/evolution. Thunderstorm is reported to favor Storm. Keep the ball identity separate from the weather state.

Community reported

Queen

Group: special/evolution. The name appears in the current set; exact source and effect require live confirmation.

Fields intentionally unset

Zombie

Group: special/evolution. Current captures report an Auto-Split interaction. Read the skill and ball text together.

Community reported

Speedy Ball

Group: special/evolution. An achievement reference connects it with cooldown goals, not a guaranteed universal timer.

Community reported

Glitch

Group: special/evolution. Do not confuse the ball entry with the GLITCH environmental event reported in current weather captures.

Identity check required

Void

Group: special/evolution. Void appears in the documented Molten Void combination; use live PAYS for the finished ball.

Community reported

Rotten

Group: risk state. Untreated Rotten is reported to pay nothing and spread through splitting; inspect counters before continuing.

Confirm current handling

Compare a ball without inventing a formula

Open the tooltip and record its name, VALUE entries, TRAITS entries, whole-ball PAYS, any “1 in N” label, and warnings. PAYS is the useful payout comparison for the finished ball. A probability-style label is not a cash value, and a collection multiplier can differ from a live combination view.

When several properties appear together, use the mutation combinations guide to recognize the structure. Use the fusion guide before deliberately allowing valuable mutated balls to merge.

Handle Rotten and look-alike names

If Rotten appears, pause automatic splitting long enough to inspect the board. White Cell, Vampire, and Antibody are community-reported counters with different conditions. Confirm the exact current wording before assuming the board is safe.

Blood Moon, Gold, Candy, Molten, Storm, and Glitch can be confused with events or environmental labels. The ball tooltip identifies a mutation; the event banner identifies server weather. Keep both records separate.

Source note, checked October 20, 2026: the total of 28 comes from the official description. The 28 names and groupings are community reported from current MUTATIONS, collection, and tooltip captures. Unknown fields are intentionally omitted rather than guessed.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a complete effect list?

No. It is a complete currently documented 28-name index, not a claim that every effect and number has been verified. Read the live entry for update-sensitive fields.

Why are there no fixed odds for every name?

Odds can change and some captured values depend on active events. Publishing them without context would mislead players.

Are wings and halos mutations?

Current captures show accessories worn alongside mutations. Identify the mutation from its label and fields, not from equipped decoration.

Which number should I use for a fused ball?

Use the whole ball’s displayed PAYS result, then keep collection values and probability labels in their own contexts.
