Mitosis Tokens Guide: Sources and Spending Priorities

Find current Mitosis Token sources, compare Skill Tree and Card Shop costs, protect a savings goal, and read the rebirth reward preview.

What Tokens are for

The official Mitosis description confirms that rebirth grants Tokens and connects them to the giant Skill Tree. Current community captures also show Tokens used for Card Shop purchases, rerolls, and other progression choices. Because several systems share the same currency, the best rule is simple: give the balance a named job before spending it.

Do not confuse Tokens with cash. Cash buys Ball Value, Split Speed, and Capacity during a run. Tokens support longer-term choices. A high cash balance can improve a rebirth preview, but it does not directly pay a Token price unless the live interface states otherwise.

Currently documented Token sources

Rebirth preview

Open the circular-arrow control, read “A REBIRTH NOW GIVES,” and wait for READY before deciding. The offered amount belongs to your current run.

System official · amount account-specific

Challenge rewards

Current captures show some goal settlements awarding Tokens. One example amount is not a fixed reward for every difficulty or stage.

Daily Wheel Spin

Community captures show a free daily spin unlocking after a first rebirth and Token Stash as one possible result, not a guaranteed result.

Card SELL

Some owned cards display a Token sell value. Compare the permanent loss of the card with the immediate balance gain.

Card-specific value

Meteor Shower

Current captures show meteors adding Tokens and an event counter accumulating a variable total while the timer runs.

No fixed reward

Use the source that fits your current position. Challenges and events can add Tokens without resetting the run. Rebirth offers a larger progression decision but requires rebuilding cash upgrades. A daily spin is limited by availability and chance. Selling a card sacrifices an owned tool.

Read the rebirth offer correctly

The TOKENS panel separates the offered reward from your current balance. “A REBIRTH NOW GIVES” describes what the reset would add. MONEY NOW and AFTER REBIRTH compare the money bonus associated with the current state and proposed reward.

Do not copy an example offer. Current walkthrough captures show offers changing with progress. Read READY, the reward, and the remaining requirement. If the amount funds the intended purchase and the rebuild is acceptable, the rebirth can make sense.

The panel also describes money-per-Token behavior in current captures, with Skill Tree nodes able to change it. Use the displayed before-and-after comparison instead of multiplying the spendable Token balance into an assumed formula.

Use the rebirth guide before committing.

Set a spending priority

Automation

Save for Auto-Split when repeated manual splitting is the main obstacle. Its captured cost is low relative to many later nodes, but verify it live.

Stronger restarts

Save for Quick Start or later starting-ball choices when rebuilding after rebirth consumes most of the session.

Cards

Save for a visible Card Shop offer that solves a real problem such as money, mutation opportunities, Rotten control, or challenge attempts.

Rerolls

Use only when changing offers is worth the cost and you can still afford a useful result. A reroll buys no card by itself.

Write the target cost and current balance. The difference is your savings gap. Every optional purchase should be compared with that gap. Spending on a cheap reroll can be expensive if it delays a node or card by an entire rebirth.

Current community captures show an early Auto-Split price, several larger starting-branch costs, and varying card offers. These examples explain opportunity cost; they are not guaranteed live prices.

Compare Skill Tree and Card Shop value

A Skill Tree node is usually a persistent progression decision. A card changes the current loadout and can have a strong conditional effect. Neither category is automatically better.

Choose a node when its benefit affects the repeated loop you perform every session. Choose a card when its effect solves the active problem and the card is actually offered. Preserve a reserve when a future visible branch matters more than a short-term reroll.

Before buying a card, select it and read form, rarity, effect, price, and replacement warnings. Current captures report a one-Legendary limit and no return for selling a Legendary. Confirm that warning live because the mistake can be costly.

Before buying a node, read prerequisite, connection, effect, and refund policy. The skill tree guide maps the currently documented branches.

Earn through challenges without wasting sales

Open CHALLENGE when available, read the goal and remaining TRIES, and build a meaningful batch before SELL. Some captured settlements include Tokens, but rewards can differ. Do not assume every goal or Boss pays the same amount.

A failed run can still teach you the required batch size. Record credited progress after each sale. If attempts are the bottleneck, improve production or adjust the card loadout before repeating.

Second Wind is reported to preserve some challenge tries. Treat the actual counter after each sale as authoritative. Use the challenges guide for the full route.

Use Meteor Shower and daily opportunities

During Meteor Shower, watch the named event card, remaining time, and TOKENS counter. Current captures show totals accumulating and Tokens reaching the balance before the event ends. Different captured totals prove that there is no fixed page-wide reward.

Continue the normal loop while observing meteors, but do not sacrifice a challenge plan or valuable mutation merely to chase an unverified object. The Meteor Shower guide explains the counter and overlapping timers.

For a daily spin, open the control only when FREE SPIN is displayed. A Token Stash is one possible outcome in current community captures. Do not budget guaranteed Tokens from a chance-based wheel.

Card selling is a trade, not free income

Select an owned card and read its SELL value. Compare that value with the effect you lose and the replacement cost. A useful card can save more time or cash than its immediate Token return.

Current captures show at least one non-Legendary card with a sell offer, while Legendary sell-back behavior is much less favorable. Never assume every card returns Tokens. Read the specific card and confirmation.

Troubleshooting a missing balance

If a reward notification appears but the balance seems unchanged, close overlays and reopen the relevant Token display. Record before and after values. During Meteor Shower, the event counter and account balance can update at different moments.

If a rebirth offer is confused with owned Tokens, compare the “gives” line with “you have.” If a purchase fails, verify the currency icon and full price. Abbreviated K values represent larger amounts than plain numbers.

Source note, checked October 20, 2026: rebirth-for-Tokens is official. Challenge, wheel, card-sell, Meteor Shower, costs, and money-bonus details are community reported from current captures.

Frequently asked questions

What should I buy first with Tokens?

Choose the first purchase that removes a repeated obstacle. Automation is useful for manual input, Quick Start for rebuilding, and cards for specific conditional problems.

Are challenge Token rewards fixed?

No fixed table is supported here. Read the settlement for the current goal and difficulty.

Does Meteor Shower always award the same total?

No. Captured counters vary. Follow the live event card and balance.

Should I reroll for a card I cannot afford?

Usually preserve the balance when the desired card is already visible. A reroll spends Tokens and can replace the offer without solving the shortage.
