Open and read the tree
The official Mitosis description confirms a giant Skill Tree unlocked through rebirth and Tokens. Current community captures place SKILL TREE at the top of the main screen. Open it, select or hover a node, and read its full name, effect, Token price, prerequisite connection, and ownership state.
Use the plus and minus controls to zoom if the branch extends beyond the view. A node marked OWNED is already purchased. NOT ENOUGH TOKENS means the balance is below the current price. If the interface asks you to tap again to buy, treat the second tap as the commitment and reread the selected node first.
Short labels can differ from expanded names. For example, a compact Tokens label can expand to a Token Power name. Record both when comparing guides so you do not mistake one node for two.
Currently documented node directory
The following names come from community-captured tree screens checked October 20, 2026. Prices are included only where the current captures are clear; always use the number shown in your live server.
Auto-Split
Position: central starting node. Captured cost: 5 Tokens. Enables AUTO beside SPLIT.
Community reportedQuick Start
Branch: above Auto-Split. Improves the starting Split Speed and Capacity after rebirth in current captures.
Check live cost and effectValue I
Goal: ball value. Current captures describe a value increase on an early branch.
Use live descriptionSlot 4
Goal: another card slot. Buy only when an additional proven card improves the loadout.
Community reportedTokens I
Goal: Token-related money power. Read the panel’s before-and-after effect before paying its larger cost.
Community reported2-Ball Start
Branch: revealed beyond Quick Start in current captures. Adds a start-chip choice for new boards.
Check current prerequisite4-Ball Start
Branch: documented above 2-Ball Start. The displayed cost is much higher in current captures.
Late-branch valueMutation Upgrades
Branch: a separate gold mutation node revealed after Quick Start in current captures. Open it to inspect its own tree.
Community reportedLater documented names
Slot 5, Token Boost I, Mole Hills, Tokens II, Big Sells I, Sell II, and Auto-Buy appear in current captures, but complete paths and effects should be read live.
Partial directoryThe official badge catalog includes Keystone and The Great Tree. Those names support deeper progression milestones but do not reveal exact node requirements because the badge descriptions are empty.
Choose a first branch by problem
Auto-Split is an automation decision. It helps when repeated manual clicking is the obstacle. It does not choose the sale time, prevent a full board, or manage dangerous mutation states.
Quick Start is a rebuild decision. It helps when post-rebirth Split Speed and Capacity recovery consume too much time. It does not preserve Ball Value in current captures.
Value I is an earnings decision. Choose it when payout per cell is the constraint. Slot 4 is a loadout decision and matters only if you have another card worth equipping. Tokens I is a scaling decision that should be judged against its current effect and high opportunity cost.
Do not buy a node just because it is adjacent. Name the outcome first, then compare the price with other uses for the same Tokens, including Card Shop offers and rerolls.
Follow revealed connections
A visible connection tells you which purchase reveals or unlocks the next node. Do not assume a node across the screen is directly available. Select it and read the requirement.
Current captures show Quick Start revealing two important directions: starting-ball options and a mutation upgrade area. Buy 2-Ball Start only if starting with an extra ball advances your actual loop enough to justify the price. After purchasing, use the small start chip beside SPLIT to choose the available starting state; ownership does not mean every new board must use the larger option.
Open Mutation Upgrades through the named node rather than assuming those upgrades live in the main tree. Record their currency, prerequisite, and effect separately.
Budget Tokens before purchasing
Write down the current node cost and your Token balance. Subtract the cost, then ask whether the remaining balance still covers a card or other near-term priority. A low-cost automation node can be easier to justify than a larger branch that delays several systems.
Rerolling Card Shop offers spends Tokens without guaranteeing the card you want. If the desired node is already visible and useful, preserve its budget. If a card would solve an immediate challenge or Rotten problem, compare that known benefit before locking into a branch.
Use the tokens guide for sources and competing costs. Use the rebirth guide to estimate the rebuild required for another Token offer.
Use AUTO and starting-ball controls
After buying Auto-Split, enable AUTO beside SPLIT. Turn it off and allow the current cooldown to finish before testing manual behavior. Watch Capacity because automatic splitting can fill the board while you inspect another panel.
Current captures report that AUTO also interacts with Zombie evolution balls. Confirm the ball tooltip and current AUTO behavior before leaving a risky board unattended.
After buying 2-Ball Start, use the small start chip on SPLIT to switch between the available start counts in current captures. Verify the selected chip before selling the last active board or rebirthing.
Avoid irreversible assumptions
Do not assume the tree offers a free respec. Search the live interface for a reset, refund, or confirmation rule before purchasing. If none is visible, treat each Token purchase as lasting.
Do not treat captured prices as timeless. Auto-Split’s captured early cost and the much larger later-node examples show the scale of the tree, but an update can rebalance them. The live selected node is authoritative.
Source note, checked October 20, 2026: the giant Skill Tree is official. Node names, positions, example costs, controls, and revealed branches are community reported from current interface captures.
Frequently asked questions
What should I buy first?
Start with the node that solves the biggest current problem. Auto-Split is a common automation entry, but a card or saved rebirth target can be more valuable for another player.
Is Quick Start the same as Auto-Split?
No. Auto-Split automates SPLIT. Quick Start improves part of the post-rebirth starting setup in current captures.
Are all 66 skills listed here?
No. Current captures reference a larger tree, while this directory lists only publicly documented nodes with enough context to help. Read unknown nodes in the live tree.
Can I switch back to one starting ball?
Current captures show a start chip after 2-Ball Start that can switch the new-board setting. Confirm the choices visible in your server.
